Become a published Feature Article author in InTech magazine. ISA's 6x per year magazine, distributed in print and Digital Edition formats, is an opportunity to educate your peers, showcase your knowledge and bring recognition to important automation projects and technologies.
Feature articles are 1,800 to 2,600 words long, with photos and/or illustrations, and can be one of four types: an adapted technical paper; a project case history; an explanation of a new technology, automation technique or standards application; or a "basics" article that covers automation fundamentals (see links to samples below).
InTech Feature Articles are educational and non-commercial, meaning without product endorsement or disparagement (specific products can be mentioned as examples or as the solution applied in a specific project, however.)
InTech does not publish product reviews, and does not allow references to products in any potentially comparative or exclusive manner. Any discussion that, under normal standards of courtesy and maturity, would offend another producer of similar equipment and services will be edited out of submitted manuscript.
Features articles are edited for magazine style and clarity, and authors can review articles before publication. High-resolution photos or illustrations are welcome but not required. Feature articles on any topic will be considered, but authors looking for topic suggestions should see the InTech editorial calendar for more information.
You can submit a finished paper, outline or summary for consideration. Please include information about yourself, your company and relevant ISA activity.
