My wife Rhonda and I currently live in Houston, Texas. We enjoy road trips and other travels. We got to live in the Middle East for 3 1/2 years and really enjoyed it; we got to explore some interesting parts of the world from there. We also enjoy going to Houston Astros baseball games. I enjoy almost anything outdoors.
I am currently a Principal Automation Engineer in Oxy's central automation group in Houston, TX. I started with Exxon in Midland, TX in 1991 and have spent almost my entire career in the upstream onshore oil and gas business doing engineering and project management. I’ve had opportunities to work on neat stuff, I’ve had some great mentors, and I’m always learning.
I have over three decades of service within ISA, volunteering in sections, divisions, standards, and committees. I am committed to furthering our mission of empowering the global automation community. My personal vision for ISA is for it to be the trusted home and go-to organization for automation professionals—the name people think of first when it comes to automation. We do this by connecting generations of experience, advancing practical knowledge, and helping members grow in service to industry and society. I hope ISA will continue to be the place where automation professionals come together to learn, lead, mentor, and solve real-world challenges.
