With over 12 years of hands-on experience in industrial automation at Engro Fertilizers—Pakistan’s largest urea manufacturing site and home to the country’s largest install base of industrial control systems—expertise spans process control, turbomachinery and gas turbine controls, safety systems, control system migrations, and OT cybersecurity.
Currently leading the Instrumentation and Control Systems team, accountable for securing and modernizing critical control infrastructure in a continuous production environment. Delivered multiple complex DCS, ESD, and gas turbine control system migration projects in brownfield facilities, with a cumulative value exceeding USD 10 million, earning awards and formal recognition for safe, reliable, and on-schedule execution.
Extensive experience in establishing OT cybersecurity across people, processes, and technology, including workforce awareness, governance aligned with ISA/IEC 62443, and deployment of technical safeguards such as network segmentation, secure remote access, asset hardening, and continuous monitoring. Among the pioneers in Pakistan’s industrial sector to implement a holistic OT cybersecurity program spanning all three domains.
