PMCD is organized within the Automation and Technology Department of ISA. Our primary goal is to advance the interests and knowledge of our members. PMCD supports nearly 6,000 members by operating Technical Committees, publishing an industry-specific newsletter and participating with other ISA divisions in technical events.

  • Thanks Bruce. Agree the problem is that ML/statistical does not understand cause & effect (C&E). And it doesn't have to be a feedback loop. I recall there are 3 "junctions" that cause confusion.   • Agree with Ian Gibson. Also, even non-Exia control system AI and AO cards may provide much less than 24 VDC for loop powered instruments. For HART communication there is also a 600 ohm resistance limit and capacitance requirements. The maximum cable length is limited by capacitance, ...
