Engineering a performance-based and verifiable flammable gas, toxic gas, and fire detector locations is challenging. This session will present a method and live demonstration of the engineering software that has been perfected over 15 years.

This method deliberately follows the guidelines presented in ISA TR84.00.07 Guidance on the Evaluation of Fire, Combustible Gas, and Toxic Gas System Effectiveness.

The Purdue Process Safety and Assurance Center at the University of Purdue also tested this method, and their findings determined that this method was the most accurate method available.
