  • 1.  Section Bylaws Update

    As mentioned in the email of the same subject line, your section bylaws are an important legal document that is easily forgotten about. Starting in 2024, having current bylaws on file will be a requirement for a section to remain in good standing and eligible for rebates.

    The following Sections have bylaws that are already in compliance.

    •          Baton Rouge
    •          Mobile Pensacola
    •          North Texas
    •          Southeast Texas
    •          Texas City

    The following sections will need to update their bylaws. Please use this template for that. Any special provisions or modifications to ISA's recommended regulations will require prior approval from ISA.

    •          Birmingham
    •          Bluebonnet
    •          Brazos
    •          Greater Oklahoma
    •          Houston
    •          Lafayette
    •          New Orleans
    •          Permian Basin
    •          Savannah River
    •          Tampa Bay
    •          Texas Channel
    •          Western Carolinas

    Hi Phillip,

    I'm not sure why the Greater Oklahoma Section is listed as needing to update their Bylaws?  I downloaded your template, and the ByLaws which are posted in our Connect Library entries for the Greater Oklahoma Section, and they appear to exactly match each other?  Could you or Kevin please take a look at our bylaws and let me know what appears to be out of line?  

    I've attached a copy as a Word Document in case you have trouble accessing the files from ISA Connect.

    Mike,

    It looks like these are the correct version in the correct template. Just note that ISA doesn't have record of this updated bylaws. Since our due date for the annual report is coming up on July 31, 2023, the updated bylaws should be submitted with the annual report and this will meet the ISA health metric requirement. We plan to discuss this further during the District Leadership Conference being held on June 3-4 in New Orleans.
