Welcome to the ISA Will-DuPage Section Community page!  Our section was founded in 1994, having originally started as a subsection of the ISA Chicago Section. The success we've experienced over the past 25 years is due to a number of contributing factors. We are fortunate to have a dedicated staff of board members who volunteer their personal time to make this section a success, the support of our local vendors who provide a great deal of the technical content for our section meetings, and the support of our members and guests who regularly attend our meetings and events.

  • September Technical Meeting

    Real Time Monitoring of Color

A survey of applications within the Chemical/PetroChemical, Food/Beverage, Drinking Water and Fuel Transportation industries.

Join us September 27th as we learn from Mike Ponstingl Custom Sensors & Technology about real time monitoring of color.

There are several process industry applications that utilize the absorption of a particular chromophore within a process stream to indicate presence/absence, concentration and process control. Here we want to describe a simple and economic approach to monitoring the color of liquids across a broad range of process industries that have direct cost benefit to the respective end users. We will define color as the absorbance of light over a broad spectrum of energy and give examples within each industry.

    Virtual Event!

We will be hosting this month’s meeting virtually. Event login will be available after registration.

  • In-Person AND Virtual ISA Will-DuPage Technical Meeting April 2022

This is one type of headache that a large dose of Advil won’t solve. Utilities, oil & gas, manufacturing, and many more industries are faced with changing and demanding regulations that increase the pressure to protect a business’s resources and reputation. Fines, penalties, job losses, etc. are consequences for failing to meet these standards. Federal and state regulations have caused stakeholders to question existing application development processes within their companies and seek alternative approaches to the conventional way. In this presentation, we will review common things to consider when building a dashboard and how modern technology such as modularity and composability can help organizations adapt and be resilient to changing demands. Note: This presentation will focus more on utilities, but we have a regulatory expert in attendance who is available to answer specific questions in a variety of industries.
