Presentation 7:00 PM

Location: Inchin's Bamboo Garden

Overview of Presentation: We’re all use to flipping a switch to turn on a light, plugging in a wall wart to charge our cell phone, or booting up our laptop to surf the net with little if any thought of how electrical power is almost always there to support modern conveniences in our daily lives. The presentation will review what occurs on the other side of that outlet in your house as it makes its way back to the generation source.

Speaker's Biography: Mr. Kuhl is the Facilities Chief Electrical Engineer for the Facilities Infrastructure Division at NASA Glenn Research Center. Prior to joining NASA, he worked as a substation operator for Detroit Edison. He holds a BSEE from Youngstown State University and a MSEE from Ohio State University, with an emphasis in power systems. He is a registered professional engineer in Ohio, Michigan, and Pennsylvania.

Mr. Kuhl is active in the ABET Engineering Accreditation Commission where his is a program evaluator for EE, served as past team chair and as a past executive committee member. He is a life senior member for IEEE and is the chair elect of the Committee on Engineering Accreditation Activities.

Our vision is to create a better world through automation.

About ISA Sections

ISA is organized geographically, with 150 sections throughout the world. ISA sections are your local resource and networking hub to connect with like-minded professionals, learn about new technologies, and contribute your talents toward building the next generation of automation professionals.

ISA sections around the globe organize technical conference sessions, tours of local facilities, training programs, exhibitions, and social events. Many sections offer scholarships to deserving local students, organize efforts to contribute to the local community, and provide networking opportunities.
