Hello to all of you Sarnia ISA members;
On behalf of your ISA Sarnia Executive I wanted to say thanks for all of our Sarnia ISA members who have stayed with us through these troubled times.
Just as a quick update we are still attempting to stay on our section plan. We have managed to have two executive meetings and one member dinner meeting so far following all of the guidelines set out by the SGCC as per the virus. Our next member dinner meeting is at the end of the month and we are hoping to see a good turnout. We have signed up for an email list serve to better communicate with all of you. As you are all aware we continue to maintain our website and of course ISA has updated their website and pushed out ISA Connect for the membership. If you have a minute take a look.
As the president I want to say again thank you to all of the ISA Sarnia Section members, vendors and suppliers that support our Section. As you may be aware this is our seventy third year. Congratulations to all of you for without all of you we would not be in existence. Our section was chartered on September 1, 1947. As I have stated previously this truly will be a totally different year but we will attempt to meet all of the challenges.
To all of our vendors I am sure that you have received your vendor package for your participation in our Reference Guide for 2021. If you know of anyone who has not received a package and is interested please let any of your Executive know and we will contact them. We are always looking for as many vendors as we can get. It is truly a valuable production.
We have to continue to lay a path to maintain our section for the future. We have a dedicated Executive and we are always looking for assistance. If you have spare time and a keen interest in your Instrumentation field you should be part of our section. Our struggles continue to find new members and therefore new executive members. If you have working friends let us know and we will get our membership chair to reach out to them.
If you have any topic ideas for speakers please forward to our program chair. He can use any assistance in providing an interesting, current and enjoyable speaker to fill the dinner meetings, step up and let us know. We are looking forward to a good year.
