  • Section Presidents message for September

    Hi everyone;

    On behalf of your ISA Sarnia Executive I wanted to welcome all of you back to the start of another section year.

    We managed to get our first executive meeting at the SGCC during these troubled times following all of the Covid-19 rules. We can now have member meetings with up to fifty people following the guidelines. Our concern now is to get speakers.

    We have set up our plan and our budget and will attempt to accomplish our agenda if we are able.

    As the president I want to say thank you to all of the ISA Sarnia Section members, vendors and suppliers that support our Section. As you may be aware this is our seventy third year. Congratulations to all of you for without all of you we would not be in existence. Our section was chartered on September 1, 1947. This truly will be a totally different year but we will attempt to meet all of the challenges.

    We still continue the struggle to find new members and therefore new executive members. It is a testament to all of you that have remained loyal and involved that we are able to maintain our Section.

    Our goals and our plans remain as a guide for us doing our business and with our vendor base; fluctuating as it does; they are the backbone of our section business.

    Our key to our ISA success still as always is you our Section members. All with dedication, common interests and belief in our field of expertise are what it takes. Instrumentation and Automation are still what it is all about.

    It is my pleasure to be your President for another term. I will continue to strive for you the membership and our vendors and the way we do business. We have to continue to lay a path to maintain our section for the future. We have a dedicated Executive and we are always looking for assistance. If you have spare time and a keen interest in your Instrumentation field you should be part of us.

    If you have any topic ideas for speakers please forward to our program chair. He can use any assistance in providing an interesting, current and enjoyable speaker to fill the dinner meetings, step up and let us know. We are looking forward to a good year.

    Looking forward to the September 28th member dinner meeting.

    Thank you

    Mike Murray
