The ISA Birmingham Section Honors and Awards Team is pleased to report to the section membership, the selections for our recognitions for 2021. The H&A Team consisted of Skip Wells, Catherine Andrews, and Gerald Wilbanks. The selection team received several recommendations of worthy nominees and are excited to announce the results.
Great folks to recognize for 2021:
- Engineer of the Year: Meg Moore – W.G. Yates Company
- Young Engineer of the Year: Stefanie Funk – BBP Company
- Gerney Mitchell Outstanding Service Award: Patrick Joseph– SCS
The individual selections will be presented at the Engineers Week Awards Dinner, conducted by the Engineering Council of Birmingham (ECOB) at the Harbert Center on Tuesday night, February 22, 2022 (Tentative). The nomination forms have been submitted to ECOB, and they will be considered in the area judging for area awards.
All of the honorees and selections will be recognized and presented plaques at the ISA Birmingham Section H&A Dinner at the Red Lobster Restaurant on Tuesday evening, May 10, 2022 (Tentative). This is the annual dinner meeting where the section recognizes our former presidents, the Honorees for the year, and thank the outgoing officers.
