Volunteer Opportunity Details

Thank you for your interest in ISA standards committee participation. The primary expectation for participation is knowledge of the area covered and a willingness to contribute your time and expertise. Many of our committees do a considerable amount of their work online.

ISA membership is not a requirement for participation in standards committees. ISA is an ANSI-accredited standards developer; per ANSI and ISA requirements, participation on ISA standards committees "shall be open to all parties who are directly and materially interested in the activity in question."

If you would like to apply to be a member of a standard committee, please read the requirements for participating (brief but essential information) and complete the following application form. If you have any questions or concerns about the participation requirements, please contact us at standards@isa.org.

This committee meets every two weeks for an hour. You would be expected to attend meetings and respond to ballots. There may be extra work involved in developing the standard, and your involvement would be a discussion between you and the chair.
