Special Complimentary Online Presentation

Speaker:  Shahid Jamil, IEEE/IAS Distinguished Lecturer

PRESENTATIONAuditing or evaluation of commercial and industrial organizations has been an NFPA 70E requirement since 2009 and is required every three years.

Auditing provides the means to understand performance versus established standards and to identify areas for continued improvement. To have an effective electrical safety program (ESP), an auditing process must be an integral element of the ESP.

This presentation discusses the tools, templates and procedures to conduct audit or evaluation of all components of the ESPs.

PRESENTER:  Mr. Jamil has worked as an Electrical Safety Expert at ExxonMobil Chemical Plants and Refineries in Canada, Singapore, Thailand, and the USA, British Petroleum Upstream Engineering Center in Texas, USA, and Cheniere LNG Plant in Cameron, Louisiana, USA. He initiated the audit process in 2006, and has conducted audits of several Refineries, Petro-Chemical and Gas Plants in Canada, the USA and South America.

Recently Mr. Jamil was invited by IEEE/IAS, India to present the ESP audit process at 3 major cities in India.

He is the Author/Co-Author of 27 Electrical Safety Papers in IEEE/IAS/PCIC in the USA & Europe. He has been honored several times for his outstanding contribution and excellence in electrical safety by IEEE/IAS/PCIC/ESW
