ISA Qatar Section formed in November 2001 by a group of Automation professionals lead by Nilangshu Dey of Qatar Petroleum . 

Few of the Achievements of Qatar section During the Ongoing COVID 19 situation are :

ISA Annual Award Gala

In view of promoting ISA locally and enhancing its larger visibility in Qatar, ISA Qatar Section  constituted the following Awards for ISA Members, Automation Professionals and Technical Students  on yearly basis .

  • ISA Member of the Year
  • Automation Excellence in Industry
  • Student Excellence in Automation

 

The Awards were given to Automation Professionals during an ISA Dinner Meet held in  February 2020 at Radisson Blu Hotel . More than 100 Automation professionals including Automation Students & instructors from all End Users , Consultants and Vendors participated in the Annual Award Gala Function .

 ISA Meet / Technical Presentation

 ISA Qatar Organized 106 th Technical presentation / Seminar on Nexus – Next Generation Control system for Gas turbines , Compressors , Oil & Gas , Water and other Industrial applications  by GE / Baker Hughes on 25 February 2020 at Radisson Blu Hotel.

 ISA Qatar section organized an Webinar on following topic on 12 August 2020

 Cyber security for industrial network – A Multifaceted approach to identify and overcome the challenge of integrating IT Security and OT Network

 Due to mostly having the lock down scenario in Qatar for COVID 19 pandemic situation , no further event in 2020 could be conducted .

  • Automation Conference 2023 - Call for Papers

    Friends, 

    Qatar Section hosts ISA Automation Conference on 25th September 2023 at Radisson Blu Hotel, Doha. The theme of the conference is “Digitalization in Oil & Gas Industry”.

    Papers are invited from interested members of Automation community to present during the conference on a chosen topic on the following subjects.

    1. Gateway to Digital Transformation 
    2. Cyber Security & Privacy Considerations in the Era of Digital Transformation 
    3. Asset Data & Business information Suites / Data Driven Decision Making & Predictive Analytics. 
    4. IIOT , Device Integration , IR 4.0 / Adoption & Integration of Industry 4.0

    Guidelines for papers :

    • Presenters shall submit abstract of their paper latest by 31st July 2023.
    • The Conference Technical committee scrutinizes the abstract and communicates acceptance by 7 August 2023. 
    • Presenters shall prepare detail presentation slides and submit for final review of the Conference Technical committee by 7 September 2023.
    • Final presentations, incorporating suggestions of the Conference Technical Committee shall be submitted by 15 September 2023.
    • Presentation slides shall be adequate for presentation duration of 30 minutes.
    • Presentation slides shall be developed on ISA template only to be provided by Conference committee.
    • Content shall be in line with Conference objectives.
    • Presentation slides shall not contain any content that directly or indirectly promotes a product, an organization or an individual.
    • Presenters shall submit their brief Bio and Photograph along with their abstract.
