Hydroelectric Controls

The main area of focus for me as a hydroelectric controls engineer has been automated generator start, controlling generator load, protecting the generator, and managing water from the dam to the downstream river. In this presentation, I will give a summary of how some of these control systems work and how they are automated. I will also discuss how compliance impacts the controls of a hydroelectric system.
