Water hammer is a key target for mitigation in steam & condensate utility systems and attached steam equipment. This presentation will focus the three major types of water hammer. It will include information on condensation induced, condensate induced, and steam induced water hammer and the steps to identify and mitigate these various conditions in the system.

Richard began his career with TLV in 1992, but has been active in steam since 1988.
HIs experience includes working with clients in many industries in evaluating their steam and compressed air utilities energy management programs. He is experienced with TLV’s TrapMan® condition monitoring and database system, and helping clients to utilize these tools to gain energy and reliability improvements. Richard also works with sites to provide guidance on TLV solutions for individual steam applications.
