STEAM Education is an approach to learning that uses Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Mathematics as access points for guiding student inquiry, dialogue, and critical thinking. Using STEAM education, results in students who take thoughtful risks, engage in experiential learning, persist in problem-solving, embrace collaboration, and work through the creative process.
The ISA Tampa Education committee is interested in discovering what level of membership is actively participating in STEAM programs and what non-monetary philanthropy support might be needed from an automation community of volunteers. If you are finding your favorite STEAM efforts constrained by ideas, helping hands or donated equipment, perhaps an ISA Tampa committee could be consulted.
