Thanks to our new Student Liaison, Dr. Robert Bradley, we are able to do something a little different the next two program meetings. This month, the Dean of Engineering, Dr. Craig, will speak to us regarding new developments at Lamar University and give an update on what has been
happening lately in the Industry Centers of the College of Engineering. Then, in November, we will get to tour/hear about the newly dedicated Emerson ATC (Advanced Technology Center). The Scallon folks worked with Lamar to set up this Center and it contains the latest in process control equipment and software to be used for student and/or industrial partner training. These Industry Centers are great for preparing the engineering students for the real world and I, for one, am excited to hear what has been 'going on' at Lamar.
