Bobby started his career in the industrial sales industry by working for rep firms. This is where he had his first experience with process analyzers, his first ever analyzer sale was a moisture analyzer. He quickly gravitated towards more complex analyzers like mass spectrometers, total Sulphur analyzers, and calorimeters. A few years into his career, he was recruited by Emerson Process Management (Emerson Flow) to help grow the Coriolis, Magmeter, and Vortex flow meters in key accounts across South Louisiana.
His big “analyzer break” came when he joined AMETEK Process Instruments. Quickly learning the numerous types of technologies, they had to offer along with building relationships with AMETEK Stakeholders. Working for AMETEK not only gave him knowledge on analyzers but also sample systems and integration, which are key components to an analyzer’s success. His mentor, Randy Hauer, (AD past director and longtime volunteer) quickly taught him not only the Sulphur Recovery process, but also “analyzer best practices”, which he still implements today.
He has come full circle now as part owner of Kaizen Controls and Automation, which has a heavy focus on analytical systems.
Bobby has been a member of ISA since 2012 when he joined Emerson Process Management and has attended the local events put on by the Baton Rouge chapter. Once joining AMETEK, he quickly saw the value of the Analytical Division with the symposia that are held every year. He has attended all the symposiums since 2014.
In his own words. “My goal is to not only to become a strong member of the ISA-AD community, but also help grow the AD division family, to the best of my ability.”
We are delighted that Bobby has chosen to join the AD team and we look forward to helping him grow our online content via ISA Connect.
Welcome to the team, Bobby.
