Thank you for your interest in ISA standards committee participation. The primary expectation for participation is knowledge of the area covered and a willingness to contribute your time and expertise. Many of our committees do a considerable amount of their work online.
This committee is particularly looking for individuals with experience in one of the process driven industries- manufacturing, energy, biomedical, automotive, chemical, water & wastewater, software engineering, AI/ML, etc. Specifically if you work directly with workflows including engineers, project managers, researchers, vendors, and suppliers, etc.
This committee meets every two weeks for an hour. You would be expected to attend meetings and respond to ballots. There may be extra work involved in developing the standard, and your involvement would be a discussion between you and the chair.
ISA membership is not a requirement for participation in standards committees. ISA is an ANSI-accredited standards developer; per ANSI and ISA requirements, participation on ISA standards committees "shall be open to all parties who are directly and materially interested in the activity in question."
