Maxym Lachance is actively involved in automation, both professionally and as a volunteer on many committees. As a professional engineer, he has extensive experience in process control and alarm management, and has led many projects assuming different roles such as Task Lead, Project Manager and Technical Expert. He is involved in every stage of a project: design, plans and specifications, construction support, start-up, commissioning and optimization. He integrates his extensive field and operation experience to the design and equipment selection in order to develop successful and sustainable solutions.
As a vonlonteer, he has been involved in the International society of automation for more than ten years where he has held several roles such as President for the Montréal section, Board member for Automation Project Management, and Liaison for the Food and Pharmaceutical Industries Division. He currently acts as District Vice-President and Director of the ISA Montréal section and contributes to a few boards
In addition to his publications and blogs, Mr. Lachance’s control solutions have been recognized by the Association des firmes d'ingénieurs-conseils du Québec (AFG), which granted him the grand prize in the urban infrastructure category, as well as the Visionary award in 2014.
