OT Cybersecurity risk has unique considerations. In the OT environment control systems (or cyber-physical systems), are responsible for controlling physical processes often involving hazardous materials and machines driven by 10's of thousands of horsepower. Safety systems have the critical responsibility for safe shutdown of facilities when unsafe operating conditions occur. Risks faced in the OT environment range from loss of operability to physical destruction of facilities and loss of life. This session is going to focus on the quantification of cyber risk in the OT environment based largely on the ISA/IEC 62443 series of OT Cybersecurity standards and the work of the Idaho National Laboratory.
