Instrumentation in the Pressure Relief World

Description:

We will begin with a brief description of how ASME Section VIII pressure relief valves and API 2000 tank top relief products work. Specific topics will include pilot operated, spring operated and weight loaded valve design and concerns with inlet and outlet piping. Once this foundational knowledge is reviewed we will then go over the various types of instrumentation that is in use helping monitor the function of these valves including what happens with this data. Driven by workplace safety and environmental compliance, instrumentation for these products is where some of the latest innovations in the relief valve world are currently happening.
