Stuart Simmons is a Sr. Engineering Advisor for Occidental Petroleum working the Gulf of Mexico business unit. He has work in several companies and production plants including commodity chemical, specialty chemical, refining, onshore production, and now offshore production. His primary roles have been in maintenance processes, reliability programs, and rotating equipment. He is a part of the Process Industries Practices (PIP) Leadership and serves on the ASME B73 Pump Committee. After almost 35 years in industry, he has reached the point where his current interest is in mentoring the next generation of young engineers as he sees his time coming to a close.
Prabhat Behera is currently an Automation Engineering Lead for Oxy Onshore Resources and Carbon Management (ORCM) in Houston, TX. He is having more than 29 years industry experience.
Outside of work, Prabhat enjoys spending time with his family and supporting theater, arts, and culture. In 2019, he served as President of the Odia Society in Qatar, highlighted by working with The Embassy of India to host a chapter of “Qatar-India Year of Culture (QIYC)” a two-day cultural awareness program witnessed by more than 1200 people from over 20 different countries, including the Qatar Ambassadors from many participating countries. Prabhat was honored to receive a certificate of appreciation from the Ambassador for successfully concluding the chapter.
He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Telecommunication from The Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT), India, and an MBA from Curtin University, Australia. As an active member of the International Society of Automation (ISA) since 1999, he is serving the Chemical and Petroleum Industry Division (ChemPID) Board.
