SaskPower's Boundary Dam Unit 3 CCS facility, the world's first fully-integrated CCS facility on a commercial power plant, has captured and sequestered over 5 million tonnes of CO2, making it a pioneering initiative in the field. The project provides valuable lessons for advancing large-scale CCS projects and has paved the way for innovation and increased efficiency in future iterations of the technology. As a ground-breaking initiative, the Boundary Dam Unit 3 CCS facility has proven the feasibility of CCS technology at a commercial scale, enabling governments and companies to move forward with confidence and reduced risk.
